HUMAN RESOURCE DIRECTOR

Sho-Me Power is a Transmission Electric Cooperative operating and maintaining 1,840 miles of transmission line connecting 24 transmission and 132 distribution substations throughout South Central Missouri. Sho-Me Technologies is a subsidiary of Sho-Me Power Electric Cooperative in Marshfield, Missouri. Sho-Me Technologies designs and operates advanced telecommunication networks over fiber optic lines in Missouri and provides telecommunication and broadband services with an emphasis on customer service and reliability. General Summary of Opportunity:

The Human Resource Director is a member of the Executive Team and provides leadership, planning, directing, developing and coordinating of all aspects of human resources for the Cooperative including providing associated policies and activities, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's strategy for talent acquisition.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sho-Me's executive team for developing a goals strategy for staffing, recruiting and retention.
  • Establish succession planning and culture building strategies.
  • Administer human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary issues, labor management relations, talent management, productivity, recognition, workforce morale and culture enhancement.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits and administer benefit plans and programs.
  • Administer the organization's Affirmative Action Compliance and EEOC programs. Serves as cooperative's Equal Employment Opportunity Officer.
  • Monitor's and ensures compliance with federal, state and local employment laws & regulations, and recommends best practices to ensure policies and practices maintain compliance.
  • Labor relations including contract negotiations.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes in human resources, talent management and employment law.

 

Education & Experience:

                Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or management with electric utility experience preferred. Effective communication skills required. Knowledge of human resource functions required. SHRM-CP and PHR Certifications required.
