I'm the medical director for Kaweah Health located in Visalia, CA. I have been a part of Sound for 5 years and part of the practice at Kaweah for a little over 2 years. I'm proud of the critical care practice we have built and welcome interest from physicians desiring a career change to explore an opportunity with our group. People?

• We are a closely knit team of 10 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers.
• Our team is involved with numerous work groups including practice guidelines, code blue committee, and ICU celebration of life committee. There are also opportunities to participate in the many GME programs.
• Several physicians live in Fresno/Clovis and commute. We also have physicians who commute from Los Angeles.
• Our location is the gateway to the Sierra Mountain Range. We are about an hour from Kings Canyon, Yosemite, and Sierra National Forrest. We enjoy a year-round Mediterranean climate with access to excellent hiking and outdoor activities with an overall low cost of living and exceptional schools make for an excellent place to call home.

Practice

• Kaweah is a 600-bed level III trauma center and a stroke center with about 310 inpatient beds. We provide care in a 21-bed MICU, 20-bed CVICU, and 42-bed ICCU. During the day we have 1 MD in the MICU, 1 MD in the CVICU, with 1 MD, 1 APP, and tele-ICU MD coverage in the ICCU.
• We are a teaching hospital with emergency medicine, anesthesia, family medicine, and surgery residency programs. There are always EM residents & transitional year residents in the MICU.
• This is a full-time position that entails working 15 shifts per month.
• The compensation range is $550,800-$558,000 and we offer a commencement bonus.
• Kaweah is Public Service Loan Forgiveness Eligible.
• Benefits include paid medical malpractice and tail coverage.
