Qualifications
Required:
- Master's Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in program analyses supporting either defense or intelligence communities.
- Excellent personal initiative, professional savviness, and demonstrated willingness and ability to research, learn, and advise on new areas of knowledge.
- Possess in-depth understanding of CWMD technologies including detection, defense, and mitigation of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats.
- Demonstrated experience in managing or supporting large, complex DoD programs, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and schedule management.
- Strong familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, policies, and regulations, including the planning, execution, and oversight of R&D programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior DoD leadership, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
Desired:
- Experience working with or within the DoD CWMD community, including familiarity with related agencies, regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to support complex R&D decisions and strategies.
- Experience working cross-functional teams in a research and development environment.
- Engineering or STEM degree.
Responsibilities
The candidate will join a cross-functional team of interdisciplinary technical subject matter experts supporting DTRA program managers, performers, and customers in the development, demonstration, and transition of advantageous capabilities. Provide critical applied scientific, technical, and acquisition intelligence analytic support to the Urgent Solutions Division in the Counter WMD Technologies Department of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Conduct assessments, demonstrations, analysis, and other decision making in support of counter WMD technology development. Ensure the integration of the research and development of critical project technologies, and collaboration between the requirements, acquisition, research and development (R&D), operational, and intelligence communities to ensure awareness of and illuminate opportunities and vulnerabilities for technology objectives. Develop knowledge regarding technical issues through analysis of diverse and broad information sets, identifying actionable trends and problems. Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders, including government and industry partners, to ensure alignment with CWMD objectives. Provide technical expertise to ensure the successful development and deployment of advanced CWMD technologies. Serve as a liaison between program management, technical teams, and external stakeholders (e.g., DoD, contractors, and interagency partners) to ensure transparent communication and effective collaboration. Prepare and deliver high-quality reports, presentations, and briefings for senior leadership, ensuring that the progress, status, and technical findings of CWMD research and development efforts are clearly communicated.
