The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Team Submarine unifies submarine platform procurement activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navy's top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program and the new SSN-X program (developing the next generation attack submarine), to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supporting Team Submarine will continue SPA's decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition. #MC Responsibilities In this role, you will assist in maintaining, debugging, refining, and developing financial software tools designed to centralize, streamline, visualize, and analyze program financial data and performance trends. These tools will play a pivotal role in supporting decision-making and ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate and actionable insights. You will contribute to tracking and improving program processes to align with stakeholder financial reporting objectives and evolving needs, helping ensure consistency and efficiency across operations. Your efforts will also include standardizing source data documentation formats and creating automated mechanisms for data quality checks across multiple tools and datasets. Additionally, you will support program organization efforts by contributing to stakeholder financial configuration management and the tracking of financial metadata. These tasks will help strengthen program transparency and alignment while ensuring the seamless flow of data across systems. This position is located in West Bethesda, MD, with the potential for light telework and occasional travel necessary to client sites around the United States. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a STEM, Business Management, or Data Science field 5+ years of relevant experience. Proven ability to coordinate, communicate, and act in a tight-knit team environment, with the ability to solve and work through challenging problems, creatively think through potential solutions, and ensure consistency in quality Skills in Microsoft Applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as coding languages such as Python or an equivalent Current DoD security clearance – minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment Desired Qualifications: Skills in other Microsoft Applications to include Teams, SharePoint, Project, and Power BI, as well as coding languages that include Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and M Code (Power Query) General understanding of software tool development life cycles and documentation Knowledge of relevant government resource planning systems, such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP), NAVSEA Enterprise Planning System (NEPS), and ADVANA Jupiter platform
