Proximity, an SPA Australia company, is seeking an FOI Officer to work within a large Commonwealth agency. Proximity clients often require the support of talented early career advisors. Responsibilities Responsibilities Assisting with the collation of information from computer systems and records in response to requests from external stakeholders. Assisting in the drafting of briefs and other documents such as public interest certificates to delegates to disclose protected information. Assisting with the creation and maintenance of electronic legal files. Undertaking legal research to assist in the preparation of legal advice. Attending meetings and assisting with note taking. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: Ability to manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail Strong verbal, written, and document management skills Coordination skills to help keep tasks on track To be eligible for this role, you must hold — or be able to obtain — an Australian Government Security Clearance and be based in Canberra or Melbourne. Over 1 years' experience working within government, consulting, or a professional services environment, ideally as a paralegal or in FOI, which will be highly regarded.
