Our group, the Joint Defense Support Group within SPA's Sea Land Air (SLA) Division, supports the Surface Community and components of the United States Navy by providing program management, requirements management, force development, and readiness support in Washington DC and the Fleet concentration areas. We provide timely, objective, analytic assessments, strategic planning, and expert operational, technical, and acquisition support to the Maritime communities, and related agencies, allies, and partners. We are trusted agents of the senior and operational leadership in the Fleet, OPNAV, NAVSEA, and the Royal Canadian and Royal Australian Navies. We play key roles in providing insights and strategies to address current and emerging challenges to national security and have tremendous impact on our client's success in solving their most important issues. SPA has a near term need for Mid-Level Technical SME ASW (SWTD). Responsibilities Compile, analyze, and consolidate technical information into clear, understandable documentation, support analysis of programmatic performance metrics. Conduct assessment of current ASW systems and develop tools to refine existing activities. Support Fiscal Year data calls, with specific emphasis on Program Objective Memorandum (POM) Department of Navy (DON), and President's Budget activities. Evaluate and provide feedback on surface force ASW annually prior to POM submission in support of updating the POM issues. Conduct research and evaluation to support development of C5I, weapons and surveillance system capabilities to include the deployment of new or improved systems across ASW related systems. Identify, document and present issues related to command and control between fleet units, systems and sub-systems across ASW. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Possess current Security Clearance of SECRET and TS//SCI eligible. Minimum of 10 years of military experience, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the operation of a Naval ASW suite such as SQQ-89(V). Qualified and experienced in a watch station with the authority to employ ASW Weapon Systems (i.e. Tactical Action Officer (TAO), ASW Evaluator (ASWE). Possess a Tactical Action Officer Qualification letter. Strike Group, Fleet, or Major Training Command, Systems Testing Command or similar military organization planning experience. Experience with qualitative and quantitative assessment methods to support war-fighting readiness, capabilities, and capacity evaluations. Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Access, Excel, Power Point, Project and Word). Desired Qualifications: Experience in Navy Combat Systems development. Experience in Rapid Capability Development process. Experience in Review and Collaboration on Navy Technical Documentation. Understanding of SHAREM Process.
