Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience manipulating data using programming languages or analysis packages (e.g. VBA, SQL, Python, R, MATLAB)
- Experience with DoD M&S tools such as AFSIM, STORM, NGTS, GCAM, Cyber Assassin or NSS
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, written and oral communication skills, and high attention to detail
- DoD Secret Clearance or higher, and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
Desired Qualifications:
- Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- 2+ years experience with one of the simulation tools mentioned above and configuration management tools such as Git and BitBucket
- Master's degree in a technical field such as Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Sciences/Analytics or related field
Responsibilities
The Operations Research Analyst will conduct modeling and simulation analysis using DoD models and modeling environments such as Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration and Modeling (AFSIM), the Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM), and the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) and SPA's modeling environments GCAM and Archer/Cyber Assassin (CA). They will assist in the framing, development, and presentation of warfighting analyses by building models to analyze and assess military operations and technologies. They will also identify, research, and incorporate modern strategies for analysis in areas such as computer science, systems engineering, and program analysis to provide timely and relevant products as well as conduct analysis of data sets, drafting white papers, compiling reports, and delivering briefs to clients.
This opportunity is based in Alexandria, VA. Due to the classified nature of the work there are limited opportunities for remote/telework and it may require minimal travel (0-10%) depending on the project.
