We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Security Specialist to provide on-site personnel and physical security support in a fast-paced cleared facility. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and internal security procedures, while enabling mission operations.   

The ideal candidate is operationally focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while coordinating closely with corporate security and program teams.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain compliance with NISPOM, DCSA guidance, customer guidance, and company SPP. 
  • Support personnel, physical security, security administrative and compliance duties. 
  • Conduct in-processing for personnel requiring access to classified information. 
  • Maintain clearances, visit requests, foreign travel reporting, and personnel security records. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel security records and visit authorizations. 
  • Monitor and support personnel security clearance processing and CE/CV updates. 
  • Manage the initiation, tracking, review of SF86, and maintenance of security clearance actions in DISS and other government systems across corporate enterprise. 
  • Support access control, PALs, VARs, OSAs, and physical security operations. 
  • Identify and report reportable information, incidents, and changes in personnel. 
  • Support clearance verification, visit certifications, and access eligibility validation for employees, contractors, and visitors. 
  • Support access control procedures and manage badge issuance and accountability. 
  • Ensure proper safeguarding, storage, and destruction of classified material. 
  • Conduct physical security inspections and support self-inspections in alignment with NISPOM requirements. 
  • Support classified meetings, including clearance verification. 
  • Support enterprise-wide security initiatives and best practices. 
  • Support opening/closing procedures, security checks, and end of the day inspections. 
  • Enforce physical security procedures in alignment with NISPOM, DCSA, Traditional Security STIGs, and internal policies. 
  • Coordinate and support security briefings, including initial, annual, and special access, debriefs. 
  • Assist in maintaining facility accreditation documentation (e.g., Fixed Facility Checklists, diagrams, alarm testing logs). 
  • Assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and corporate security team with ongoing compliance and documentation efforts to include DD254s. 
  • Support security incident response and reporting processes as required. 
  • Other duties as assigned to uphold a gold standard security program. 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret clearance
  • 5+ years of experience in personnel or physical security within a cleared contractor environment
  • Familiarity with DISS, NISS, SWFT, NBIS, eAPP, ACCS, SIMS, SPOT, and other security related systems 
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to follow established procedures 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills 
  • Active member in a security association 

Pay Range Information

At SPA, we strive to deliver a robust total compensation package that will attract and retain top talent. Elements of the compensation package include competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, etc. Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $85,000.00/Yr. - USD $132,600.00/Yr.
