The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. SPA's Strategic Division's Regional Strike Systems Group (RSSG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. RSSG is hiring immediately for a Senior Systems Engineer in the Washington, DC (Maritime Plaza) supporting the Nuclear-Armed, Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) Program. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Washington D.C. Pay Transparency Salary range: $145,000 - $175,000. Responsibilities Support effective communication, planning, development, and execution for a variety of activities including systems integration, system accuracy, system reliability, support equipment design, and systems safety. Assess and advise on multiple design concepts, proposed changes to the solution designs, and overall progress in the development effort phases in relation to overall program risk, cost, and schedule constraints. Providing expert advice to the Government and other task stakeholders in the areas of relating vision, strategy, plans, needs, requirements, and process and capability developments. Able to lead, manage, and execute the development of systems engineering documentation, such as the Systems Engineering Plan, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specification, and Interface Control Documents and ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive and complete. Providing technical recommendations for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting system requirements reviews, developing concepts of operations and interface standard, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessments and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis. Recommend solutions to resolve technical challenges that can occur due to dynamic changes in characteristics, approach, criteria, and requirements. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance. Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline. 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following: aerospace/defense systems engineering, missile systems, or Navy submarine programs. Familiarity with INCOSE's System Engineering Lifecycle Readiness construct. Demonstrated experience conducting detailed and complex systems engineering throughout the systems life cycles phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement. Desired Qualifications: Prior experience as a systems engineer and/or program manager in a medium or large-scale program. Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Cameo Systems Modeler. Able to effectively communicate and exchange information with peers and senior personnel; good oral and written communication skills.
