The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention. SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. SPA is looking for a mid to senior level Technical Program Analyst to support the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Ship Integration Branch (SP26). This role will be based in New London, CT. Responsibilities The Technical Program Analyst will support SP26's New London Site Section Head in the overall management of the New London Office (NLO) in support of the execution of the Common Missile Compartment (CMC) Program onboard United Kingdon (UK) Dreadnought (DRNT) Class Submarines. The NLO is an engineering and program management office jointly operated and staffed by the U.S. and UK that supports the execution of the COLUMBIA/DRNT CMC Program. The individual in this role will work closely with U.S. and UK stakeholders to help resolve technical and programmatic issues influencing the integration of the Strategic Weapon System within the CMC onboard DRNT submarines. This role will also support the Section Head in maintaining the smooth day-to-day functioning of the NLO, to include ensuring compliance with SSP and higher-level requirements and initiatives; creating, reviewing and processing assessment reports, and implementation plans; and participation in program-related meetings, working groups, and reviews related to the execution of the CMC Program onboard DRNT submarines. The specific duties and responsibilities outlined above are subject to change based on the evolving needs of the program. Any significant changes will be communicated and discussed prior to the employee's start date. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Must be able to work full-time in New London, CT. Active DoD SECRET clearance (TOP SECRET strongly preferred). Program management experience in a submarine construction or other shipyard context. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline, or commensurate technical experience relevant to the role. Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable operating with minimal oversight and interacting with senior leaders across a range of stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Project). Desired Qualifications: Prior SSP or NAVSEA experience, particularly related to the Strategic Weapon System and/or submarine construction. Experience with UK submarine construction efforts. Background in defense acquisition planning.
