Location: Framingham, MA – MCI-Framingham. This position will be working with the Secure Adjustment Unit and Victim Impact Program
Pay rate: $54,000/annually
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM with a possibility of an evening shift

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree or equivalent experience in criminal justice, human services, education or closely related field required.
- DOC experience and/or Alcohol/Drug certification preferred.
The Counselor is responsible for:
- Assessing and evaluating inmate needs.
- Monitoring inmate compliance with all program and DOC rules and regulations.
- Facilitating classes and group sessions as defined by curriculum and according to Spectrum Health Systems standards.
- Maintaining records in accordance with Spectrum Health Systems and MA Department of Correction (DOC) policies and procedures.
- Working with female offenders in a group setting facilitating groups utilizing the assigned curriculum approved by the Department of Correction (DOC), and also on an individual basis to establish relapse prevention plans prior to the offender's discharge.
