Location: Lawrenceville, VA, the Brunswick Community Corrections Alternative Program (CCAP) facilitates social behavioral change, cognitive restructuring, and substance abuse treatment programming within an Evidenced Based Practices (EBP) environment to support personal growth and prepare the probationer/parolee to return to the community.

 

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

 

Pay rate: $70,000 ($33.6538/hr.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Education or closely related field required.
  • State Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in the state of Virginia or similar certification/license recognized by the Virginia Board of Professional Counselors is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in Therapeutic Community model programs is highly preferable.
  • A minimum of 3 years of management experience is required.
  • Corrections experience or experience directing treatment services within a secure environment is required.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

 

The Program Director is responsible for:

  • Providing overall leadership and management on all contractual components, personnel, financial management, clinical programming, and all related areas.
  • Providing direct supervision of the Clinical and Program staff.
  • Ensuring all scheduled group programming and other activities occur according to the program schedule.
  • Overseeing all personnel management functions for the programs including hiring, orientation, training, development of personnel, teambuilding and disciplinary issues.
  • Overseeing the accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensuring all are submitted to the VA DOC and Spectrum leadership within established timeframes.
  • Continuously evaluating the therapeutic community to ensure the fidelity of the treatment model is maintained by all personnel and routinely assessing competency of staff.
