POSITION SUMMARY: 1st Shift 5a-330p Monday-Thursday
The Stock Keeper locates and stocks customer material while maintaining accurate accounting of internal
transactions, placement, and movement of material.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks by securing material prior to handling or storing and by
- operating at reasonable speeds and control
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- preventing incidents or injury to self or others
- Verify parts, stock parts, perform cycle counting and post all paperwork
- May be required to cycle count inventory; must have excellent accuracy
- Receive, process and perform inspections of materials, supplies, tools, fixtures and parts
- Responsible for pulling orders and completing required paperwork
- Move materials within the warehouse and assist in other warehouse activities as directed
- Move stock and other materials to and from processing areas
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed mostly in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust,
fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. This employee will be required to demonstrate continued
knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. All employees are required to follow safety
standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the
employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with
hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. Standing 30%,
Walking/sitting 70%. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently is required.
SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Competent oral and written communication skills
- Competent addition and subtraction math skills
- Competent literacy skills in order to read tags without transposing part numbers
- Able to use scanners and other technology for inventory purposes
- Powered Industrial Truck Certified
- Must not be afraid of heights; may be required elevate to heights in excess of 15 feet
