Description
We're looking for a Purchasing Manager to oversee daily purchasing activities to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement of materials and components required for our manufacturing operations.
What you'll do:
- Supervise and support the purchasing team, including workload prioritization and performance management
- Oversee procurement of raw materials, MRO supplies, capital equipment, and service
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess and obsolescence
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and service improvements
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance
- Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams
- Ensure purchase orders are accurate, timely, and compliant with internal controls
- Identify supply risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Analyze purchasing data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement
- Support audits, compliance requirements, and ERP system integrity
