What You Will Get To Do:


The Associate Director – Loans Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing the end-to-end loan servicing lifecycle across private credit, direct lending, real estate debt, and other alternative investment funds. This role ensures the accurate execution of loan onboarding, servicing, cash management, reporting, and compliance, while acting as a senior escalation point for both clients and internal stakeholders.

The position plays a key role in driving operational efficiency, strengthening risk management practices, and leading a high-performing team of loan operations specialists to deliver exceptional service. In addition, the Associate Director contributes to the business's growth by strengthening client relationships, supporting new mandates, and continually improving operational processes.

  • Actively participate in business development initiatives, including preparation and delivery of business pitches to prospective clients.

  • Oversee the end-to-end loan operations lifecycle, including onboarding, funding, interest calculations, amortisation, rate resets, rollovers, paydowns, and maturity management.

  • Review and approve loan agreements, notices, rate sets (e.g. LIBOR/SOFR), and loan schedules to ensure accurate capture of terms in systems.

  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of all loan-related transactions, including drawdowns, repayments, fees, covenant monitoring, and borrower communications.

  • Maintain operational oversight across syndicated, bilateral, unitranche, and structured credit facilities.

  • Oversee data integrity within loan servicing platforms (e.g. Goloans, Advent Geneva) and review key reconciliations including cash, positions, interest accruals, and balances.

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls across loan booking, transaction processing, and documentation.

  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, managing escalations, leading discussions, and supporting due diligence requests.

  • Partner with portfolio managers, deal teams, and legal/compliance to interpret deal structures and ensure operational readiness.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (AML/KYC, FATCA/CRS, AIFMD) and support internal and external audit processes.

  • Identify operational risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and process optimisation.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the loan operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

  • Support onboarding of new clients, asset classes, and jurisdictions, and contribute to broader business growth and client acquisition initiatives.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent is a plus.

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in loan operations within fund administration, private credit, banking, or trusteeship.

  • Deep technical knowledge of loan structures, including bilateral, syndicated, PIK loans, revolvers, bridge loans, distressed debt, and mezzanine.

  • Hands-on experience with loan servicing systems such as Allvue, Solvas, ClearPar, Investran, eFront, or similar platforms.

  • Strong understanding of fund structures, including closed‑end funds, open‑end credit funds, and private debt vehicles.

  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and high-touch client relationships.

  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Track record in ensuring accurate and timely loan processing and reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain robust internal controls with minimal errors or audit findings.

  • Focus on client satisfaction and building operational trust.

  • Commitment to team development, low turnover, and efficiency gains through process improvements and automation.
