Job Title: Associate Director of Benefits

Locations: Windsor, CT; Kansas City, MO; New York, NY | Hybrid

The SS&C Benefits Team is responsible for the strategic management and administration of the company's global health, welfare, and retirement programs. Our team ensures compliance, efficiency, and competitiveness in our offerings to attract and retain top talent. We are looking for a collaborative professional who can navigate complex benefit landscapes while providing exceptional service to our associates.

How You Will Make an Impact 

  • Develop and execute global benefits strategy
  • Establish global principles and frameworks for local markets
  • Oversee design implementation and administration of global benefits programs, ex: health and welfare, retirement, life, disability and accident & Leave policies
  • Evaluate emerging benefit trends and make recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional and international law
  • Partner with legal, tax and compliance teams to manage regulatory risk
  • Lead global broker, consultant, insurer and third party relationships
  • Conduct RFP's & contract negotiations
  • Manage global benefits budgets and forecasting
  • Analyze cost drivers, claims data and utilization trends
  • Use data and analytics to measure program effectiveness & employee's utilizations
  • Support benefits benchmarking, digital tools and platforms
  • Oversee benefits communication strategy
  • Mentor global benefits team
  • Promote improvement and innovation within benefits operations

Required Experience

  • Minimally requires a Master's degree and 8 years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree and 12 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employee benefits programs across multiple countries, with an understanding of local market practices, statutory requirements, and cultural considerations
  • Proven ability to lead benefits programs within a rapidly growing organization, including experience supporting acquisitions, mergers, and other M&A activity
  • Highly detail‑oriented and organized, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Self‑motivated and independent leader who exercises sound judgment and demonstrates accountability with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask seamlessly while maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and driving results
  • Experience contributing to and executing strategic benefits initiatives across multiple countries and regions
  • Strong people leadership capability, with a commitment to mentoring, developing, and professionally supporting team members
  • Ability to navigate change effectively and adapt benefits strategies to support evolving business needs and organizational growth
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex data analysis, reporting, modeling, and interpretation of benefits, claims, and financial data
  • Demonstrated experience with Workday, including benefits configuration, administration, reporting, and collaboration with HRIS partners to support global benefits operations

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. New York: The expected base salary for the position is between 120,000 USD to 140,000 USD. Other States expected base salary for the position is between 120,000 USD to 140,000 USD.

 

 

In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company's discretion.
