Desktop Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for a Desktop Engineer to join our team in Tokyo, supporting a small branch office of approximately 10 users. In this role, you'll be the primary point of contact for on-site technical support, ensuring smooth daily operations and quick issue resolution. What You'll Do

  • Provide day-to-day IT support for approximately 10 users in the Tokyo office.
  • Manage user accounts and systems, including Active Directory, Entra ID, and Office 365.
  • Support virtual and physical phone systems with RingCentral.
  • Administer multi-factor authentication and password management tools like Duo and SecretServer.
  • Manage hardware, printers, and software deployments using tools like Endpoint Central by ManageEngine.
  • Ensure the security and reliability of office systems with Barracuda, Trend Micro, and other solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, escalating critical problems when needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and vendors to deliver exceptional support.

What You'll Bring

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (high school degree with 2+ years in IT support).
  • Strong knowledge of desktop systems, virtual environments, and mobile devices.
  • Proficiency with tools like VMware Horizon, Zoom, and Microsoft Intune.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a small office environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
