The Director of Client Financial Reporting works with Accounting and Investor Services resources to provide all proper reports and spreadsheets, prepare and review Schedule of Investments, Statement of Cash Flows and manage the teams' operational deliverables. This role will serve as a Team Leader for the Columbus, OH group.

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Work with Accounting and Investor Services resources to provide all proper reports and spreadsheets to offshore associates.
  • Work with offshore resources to efficiently and accurately prepare 1st draft of financials including all schedules and footnotes.
  • Understand, prepare and review Schedule of Investments, Statement of Assets and Liabilities, Statement of Operations, Statement of Changes in Net Assets, and Statement of Cash Flows.
  • Understand, prepare and review Notes to Financial Statements including Financial Highlights.
  • Keep updated and informed of regulatory and procedural changes that may affect the preparation of financial statements.
  • Able to analyze and accurately project FTE efforts for new, organic, or existing business.
  • Participate in new client sales presentations
  • Identify areas for FRG revenue growth and liase with Relationship Management to implement.
  • Ensure updates and maintenance of the team's KPIs and KRIs are accurate and complete.
  • Review foreign regulatory filings related to annual financial statements.
  • Assist the Accounting team with audit questions related to the financial statements.
  • Work with the Accounting team, auditors, and clients to address any changes to the financial statements accurately and efficiently.
  • Able to interpret new accounting pronouncements and lead the implementation of the respective changes to existing workflows.
  • Maintain a controlled, SOC-1 operating environment that complies with operational standards.
  • Ensure team is escalating critical issues to Team Leader, Head of Operations and Relationship Management.
  • Act as technical and knowledge resource to the team/business unit.
  • Manage multiple team's operational deliverables to mitigate production spikes by identifying production peaks and valleys within the team and continuously assessing resource allocation.
  • Understand and manage client expectations in conjunction with Relationship Management and the Accounting teams as it relates to financial reporting.
  • Meet with clients and auditors on an annual basis as it relates to financial reporting planning such as audit planning meetings and post mortem recaps.
  • Liaise with HR to participate in the interview and selection of candidates for open positions.
  • Hold regular team meetings to communicate all departmental and production initiatives while encouraging and engaging associate feedback.
  • Provide annual and semi-annual associate performance evaluations.
  • Provide feedback to offshore production support team.

What You Will Bring:

  • University degree in Business preferably majoring in Accounting, Finance, or another Financial-related program
  • 10+ years' experience in financial services operations whose job requirements involve the use of general accounting concepts and preferably the preparation of financial statements, four of which preferably include staff management
  • Financial reporting experience required
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word)
  • Management experience in performance evaluation
  • Experience fostering a team mentality

Salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, business needs, and geographic regions. NY: Salary range for the position: 130000 USD to 220000 USD. Washington: Salary range for the position: 115000 USD to 195000 USD. California: Salary range for the position: 135000 USD to 200000 USD. Colorado: Salary range for the position: 100000 USD to 175000 USD.
