DevOps Platform Engineer / Senior DevOps Platform Engineer
Overall job purpose:
As part of the Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) Platform Services team, you will play a key role in enabling teams to deliver value streams faster while ensuring platform reliability and resilience. Our mission is to support the organization in winning business by providing robust, scalable, and secure platform services.
Responsibilities:
Your day-to-day work will consist of:
- Designing, building, and supporting Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions on both SS&C Private Cloud and AWS
- Provisioning and maintaining infrastructure for application teams across Linux and Windows environments
- Driving platform stability, reliability, security, and performance through proactive engineering and support
- Collaborating with global teams across Thailand, India, the US, UK, Canada, and Australia to support daily operations and promote DevOps best practices
- Participating in a follow-the-sun on-call support model to ensure platform availability and performance
- Ensuring systems meet regulatory, security, and audit compliance standards
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps-related role for senior-level candidates
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Linux system engineering
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Salt
Highly Preferred Qualification
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Promtail, and Loki
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps tools like ArgoCD
- Kubernetes administration experience is a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture and Service Mesh
- Experience with building and managing Windows-based infrastructure
- Familiarity with artifact management tools such as JFrog Artifactory
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including: EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, WAF, API Gateway, Lambda, ElastiCache, Elasticsearch, SQS, SNS, EKS, etc.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python
- Experience with systems such as Kafka, Keycloak, Airflow, NiFi, Rentaho, Redis, PostgreSQL, etc.
