About the Role

As a Principal IT Provisioning Service Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, shaping a new client-facing technology support team in the finance industry. Collaborating with the world's largest hedge fund and private equity administrator and the largest mutual fund transfer agency, you'll play a pivotal role. Beyond traditional provisioning tasks, you'll provide on-site technical support, ensuring seamless operations and swift problem resolution. Join us in revolutionizing financial technology!

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with vendors to secure support or replacement devices promptly.
  • Ensure that operating systems and systems software components are correctly installed, maintained, and supported across multiple platforms.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot high-severity problems, directing corrective action as needed.
  • Demonstrate independence, sound judgment, and minimal need for supervision.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of policies, procedures, and standards related to SS&C and client systems.
  • Ensure accurate installation, configuration, support, maintenance, and recovery records.
  • Uphold industry best practices and compliance standards.
  • Recommend deployment procedures and operational guidelines based on this expertise.
  • Communicate problem statuses and resolutions to the client professionally and promptly.
  • Use written communication to cover potential issues and solutions.
  • Escalate critical issues as necessary, ensuring timely attention.

Your Experience

  • Minimum of a Master's degree and 6 years of related experience.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience, or a high school degree and 10 years of related experience.
  • Proven expertise in IT provisioning, on-site support, and data center systems.
  • Possess a deep understanding and practical knowledge of critical end-user computing systems:
    • Desktop and notebook computers.
    • Desktop operating systems and applications.
    • Smartphones, tablets, wearables, and other mobile devices.
    • Mobile, web, and cloud applications.
    • Virtual desktops and applications.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by addressing complex issues.
  • Understand the unique challenges faced by front office financial services.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Work directly with clients and vendors.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically.
  • Prioritize client needs while maintaining security and compliance.
