Job Summary:**
The Senior Associate Valuations Control will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of valuations for a variety of financial instruments. This position involves performing independent price verification, reconciling valuations, and supporting the overall valuation control framework.

Job Responsibilities:**
* Perform independent price verification (IPV) on a diverse range of financial instruments, including but not limited to fixed income, equities, derivatives, and alternative investments.
* Reconcile internal valuations with external pricing sources and identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.
* Ensure adherence to established valuation policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare detailed valuation reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and clients.
* Collaborate with front office, risk management, and operations teams to understand and address valuation-related issues.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of valuation methodologies, systems, and controls.
* Assist in the development and implementation of new valuation models and processes.
* Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required by management.
* Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are highly desirable.
* 4-7 years of experience in valuation control, product control, or a similar role within the financial services industry, preferably with exposure to a variety of asset classes.
* Strong understanding of financial instruments, valuation techniques, and market conventions.
* Proficiency in financial modeling and strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Advanced Excel skills are essential; experience with VBA, SQL, Python, or other programming languages is a plus.
* Familiarity with financial data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and valuation systems.
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
