Job Description
The Technical Product Manager works closely with the product and technical teams as a bridge between product management and other parts of the organization and is assigned to areas demanding a more rigorous understanding of technical initiatives. TPMs may own certain aspects of the product suite, and they may be leveraged on a more ad hoc basis as a subject matter expert able to consult on the more technical aspects of different initiatives.
TPM responsibilities include:
·Ensuring requirements are fully understood and that plans match expectations thru a deeper understanding of architecture, functionality, and technical dependencies ·Engaging with stakeholders to refine product requirements, prioritize features, define success criteria, and help shape the roadmap ·Identifying emerging trends, product capabilities and other opportunities to measure their potential value (or threat) to the portfolio ·Understanding, researching, and following technical trends, and tracking competitors to conduct capability analysis regularly ·Providing support for internal and customer demo, presentation and training/ documentation activity ·Serving as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the internal and external technical/developer communityUnless explicitly requested or approached by SS&C Technologies, Inc. or any of its affiliated companies, the company will not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
