Overview

The Agency of Transportation (AOT) is seeking to hire an Agency Artificial Intelligence and Business Intelligence & Performance Manager. This position will serve as a local coordinator to ensure AOT applies Agency of Digital Services AI policies, goals, strategies, standards and guidelines in a consistent manner to improve transportation outcomes.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the identification of AOT AI champions for each Division and creation of an AI Governance group or Community of Practice within AOT.
  • Provide oversight and leadership and facilitate the development of AOTs AI 5-year roadmap.
  • Supervision of the Business Intelligence and Performance section.
  • Leadership role in portfolio management and data analytics and visualization using a variety of tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Oversight of Agency data management and data governance.
  • Serve as Agency Performance Accountability Liaison aligning strategy between Agency performance system, programmatic performance budgeting and Agency strategy.

 

The work is performed with a dynamic team that supports Agency values of Safety, Professional Development, Innovation, Customer Service, and Equity. This position will have access to a hybrid telework model which requires at least one in person day per week as well as additional activities which may require in-person work at the Dill Building Berlin, Vermont or at other Agency occupied buildings throughout the State.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed in offices, and in the field. Incumbents should possess private means of transportation. Attendance at public meetings and hearings is required. Evening or weekend work will be required. A variety of strong adversarial opinions may be encountered.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, data analysis, business management, or related field AND four (4) or more years of experience in artificial intelligence, data science or analysis, organizational development, or policy and program development.

OR

Six or more years of experience in artificial intelligence, data science or analysis, business performance and development, or policy and program development.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in relevant field.

Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.

Experience supervising, managing, or leading teams.
