Overview
The Captive Insurance Division is seeking a detail-oriented professional to provide specialized administrative and procedural support to its professional team. This position plays a key role in supporting the efficient operation of the division by assisting division personnel, including the Deputy Commissioner of Captive Insurance, Directors and Chief Examiner.
Working under the general direction of the Director of Captive Insurance, the position will be responsible for a range of functions essential to the division's daily operations. The role involves frequent communication and coordination with internal staff, including field examiners, as well as external stakeholders such as senior management of captive insurance companies, captive managers, and other service providers.
This is a dynamic and highly collaborative position that requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment.

Work is performed primarily in a normal office setting. Interaction with industry experts, lawyers, CPAs, actuaries, NAIC, other state insurance departments, rating agencies and human resources may be anticipated.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or closely related field.
OR
Associates degree in accounting, finance, business administration or closely related field, or college level coursework that includes 20 accounting credits AND two (2) years or more of accounting experience maintaining, reviewing and analyzing financial data and records.
OR
High School diploma or equivalent AND six (6) years or more of accounting experience maintaining, reviewing and analyzing financial data and records.
NOTE: Administrative duties are those beyond general clerical or secretarial, such as interpretation of laws, rules and regulations; data collection and analysis; and financial statement review and analysis.

Captive insurance financial and accounting
Captive insurance management
Insurance or captive insurance financial regulation
