Overview

The State Of Vermont is looking for a Regulatory & Consumer Affairs Administrator.  This position is part of DFR's Banking Licensing Team. This position reviews and coordinates the technical and administrative functions of the Banking Division's licensing program.  Analyzes sophisticated financial, legal, and other technical documents submitted as application material for a license. Reviews license applications for lender, mortgage broker, sales finance company, money transmitter and debt adjuster to engage in business in Vermont, determines their eligibility for a license, and recommends appropriate action, such as issuance of a license, denial, revocation, or suspension.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed in a standard office setting, as well as some offsite locations in Vermont and out of state. Occasional out of state travel and work outside normal hours may be required. Private means of transportation must be available for travel. There is significant interaction with the personnel of financial services firms and with attorneys, sometimes in adversarial situations.

Minimum Qualifications

Three (3) or more years of experience in accounting, auditing, finance, money and banking or credit management.   

Preferred Qualifications

Associates degree or higher in accounting, business administration, finance, economics or a related field.

Experience in financial regulation or compliance of licensees or institutions.
