Description
Oversees the daily activities of the support staff and assists with the long-range planning and administration activities of the branch. Duties and responsibilities include managing daily operations and planning the use of materials and human resources.
What We're Looking For
- Hires, directs, evaluates, counsels and terminates support staff.
- Plans and ensures the training and development needs of the staff.
- Plans and organizes the activities of the support staff including periodically reviewing work allocation for balance and efficient utilization of personnel.
- Assists with the development of employees' goals and performance objectives and works to help the employees achieve them.
- Assists with the development of and adheres to branch budget, including controlling expenses.
- Adheres to the established policies and practices of the Company. Ensures adherence to the established polices and practices of various regulatory agencies.
- Resolves complex questions or problems of an escalated nature that the support staff can not/should not resolve.
- Acts as liaison to home office for the Branch Manager.
- May be responsible for the orientation and paperwork of all branch employees.
- May order materials/supplies needed for the branch.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.

- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits.
- Knowledge or economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Thorough knowledge of all Stifel investment products or the resources to obtain this knowledge.
- Knowledge of Exchange(s) Rules and NASD Regulations.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Required: 1 to 2 years college courses in Business/Finance.
- Minimum Required: 5+ years branch office support experience.
Licenses & Credentials
- Minimum Required: FINRA Series 7 and 63.
Systems & Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
