
Description
The Grant Compliance Associate II is responsible for independently reviewing, researching, and documenting nonprofit organizations for grant eligibility and compliance with IRS and internal regulatory standards. This role requires advanced attention to detail, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex cases with minimal supervision. The Associate II will also contribute to process improvements, mentor junior team members, and support strategic compliance initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Independently manage a portfolio of complex grant requests and nonprofit reviews for compliance with IRS and internal guidelines.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of nonprofit organizations, including financial and operational due diligence.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on nonprofit compliance regulations and provide guidance to junior associates.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external nonprofit partners to resolve compliance issues and ensure timely processing.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in compliance workflows.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training materials for new team members.
- Support audits and reporting requirements related to grant compliance.
- Cross-train and provide backup support for other operational roles as needed.

Education & Experience
- Minimum Required: Associate's degree or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or related field, preferred.
- Minimum Required: 2+ years of experience in grant compliance, nonprofit operations, or financial services.
Systems & Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with grant management systems or CRM platforms is a plus.
