
Description
The Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting key operational functions within the loan department, with a focus on documenting Stifel Pledged Asset (SPA) loans and assisting with SBA-related processes. This role also contributes to daily balancing, audit support, and special projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Prepare and document SPA loan packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
- Assist with daily morning balancing procedures to maintain accurate loan system records.
- Support the payoff of SBA Pools, particularly during the last two weeks of each month.
- Collect and compile data in response to internal and external audit requests.
- Provide operational support for special projects and departmental initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Understand and comply with all regulations, including the Community Reinvestment Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Required: High school diploma or equivalent, Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum Required: 1+ years of experience in loan operations, banking, or financial services.
- Familiarity with SPA or SBA loan processes is a plus.
Systems & Technology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
