
Description
The Mutual Funds Trade Support Operations Associate is responsible for for a variety of the department's administrative functions while having gained a solid understanding of the firm's mutual fund offerings, the systems used to trade them and how they relate to the overall Mutual Funds Trade Support team responsibilities. This position will require collaboration among team members to execute on departmental objectives under direct supervision while following established procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Accurately perform job duties as provided by leadership while adhering to departmental procedures and guidelines
- Proficiently process, create, and enter data into systems to be utilized by our Financial Advisors and branch staff
- Identify potential problems or issues and escalate to department leadership if necessary
- Develop effective communication skills within the department
- Provide timely updates on progression of job responsibilities to leadership
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Monitor mutual fund orders to ensure they comply with individual fund and company policies
- Review previous day's front-end load purchases for proper pricing and sales charge waivers
- Review previous day's trades for NAV Repurchase/Transfer opportunities
- Process trade corrections for previous day's front-end load purchases and NAV Repurchase/Transfers as needed
- Provide CDSC hypothetical calculations
- Review previous day's systematic purchases/withdrawals for proper set up including but not limited to order type, cdsc waivers, and share class
- Assist branch personnel with inquiries regarding orders and corrections and provide clear and concise communication both verbal and written with Financial Advisors, branch personnel, and vendors

- Strong attention to detail skills to minimize risk to the firm
- Initiative and self-direction when performing tasks with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively in order to meet deadlines
- Able to handle large workloads that vary based on heavy volume periods
- Ability to work autonomously throughout the day based on performance criteria provided by leadership
Education & Experience
- Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum Required: 0-2 years' professional business related experience
Systems & Technology
- Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office products
