Description

The Operations Team Lead is responsible for providing subject matter expertise for all daily and high level tasks within the department. The Sr. Operations Associate will provide training and mentorship across the department. This position will require collaboration among team members and management to assist in driving departmental objectives and operational efficiency.



What We're Looking For

  • Provide subject matter expertise to the department by assisting associates with the resolution of more complex problems and escalated issues in a timely manner and in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist areas of the department with various functions when necessary.
  • Identify need for process or procedure changes and ensure updates are made while consulting with leadership and peers.
  • Provide advanced problem solving skills to both peers and leaders.
  • Provide consultation to leadership and outside stakeholders on potential impact of department, firm or regulatory initiatives.
  • Mentor and assist with training of new associates to ensure they have the proper level of support.
  • Conduct testing for enhancements, upgrades, or implementations and provide experienced feedback and knowledge to focus on end results.
  • Assist areas of the department with various functions when volume is high or staffing levels are down.
  • Serve as an internal consultant to management as needed.


What You'll Bring

  • Significant industry and/or trading knowledge with the ability to interpret and apply industry rules and regulations.
  • Ability to train and mentor others within the department.
  • Ability to draw on past situations to make sound decisions.
  • Able to allocate workload and adjust priorities to meet the demand for the department.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.


Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree and/or 5+ years' Stifel experience.
  • Minimum Required: 5+ years' of experience within the financial services industry.


Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access running SQL query reports and understating the results.  #LI-AS1
