Description
The Securities Lending Trader assists multiple clients, internal and external, including PCG Financial Advisor(s), various internal trading desks, Hedge Funds and Counterparties. The Securities Lending Trader is responsible for the opening, management, and closing of both long and short positions of all types of securities via Reg T margin financing, Repo financing, Securities Lending, Fully Paid Lending and Reg U. This position requires strong knowledge and experience across all products, account types and related systems.
What We're Looking For
• Perform lending, borrowing, short sale authorization functions related to servicing internal and external client accounts; Financial Advisors, Internal trading groups, Hedge Funds, Counterparties, etc.
• Work with customers daily through setting rates, structuring loans, borrows, Repo financing and Reverse Repo transactions to provide liquidity, settlement and optimization of the existing positions.
• Work with Financial Advisors managing all aspects of a Fully Paid Securities Lending program.
• Organize and assist in the maintenance of client accounts and trades, related records for the all internal and external customers.
• Perform operational functions for client related requests.
• Provide reports and other information to management, as requested.
What You'll Bring
• Knowledge of the Securities Lending, REPO and Rates, Structured Credit markets, including but not limited to: procedures, regulations, best practices, markets and related systems, ECNs, exchanges, and relationships, etc.
• Strong understanding of the investment brokerage industry, investment products, securities regulations, trading, operations, custody, banking systems.
• Excellent communications skills, grammar, professional phone/office etiquette and practical problem solving skills.
• Strong focus on providing exemplary client service.
Education & Experience
• Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum Required: 10+ years related industry experience.
Licenses & Credentials
• Minimum Required: Series 7.
Systems & Technology
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience with the following software: BETA, DTCC, FIS, Bloomberg Terminal.#LI-JK1
