Description

The Structured Investments Specialist originates and structures customized products such as equity-, interest rate-, and FX-linked notes, warrants, and market-linked CDs across a variety of payoff profiles. The role involves collaborating with Financial Advisors to design tailored solutions, executing trades with global investment banks, and supporting secondary market activity. It also includes exposure to advanced strategies like collars and variable prepaid forwards, along with client education and internal coordination. The position requires strict adherence to regulatory standards, including FINRA, SEC, and Firm policies.



What We're Looking For

• Originate and structure a broad range of customized structured products.
• Partner with Financial Advisors to design bespoke solutions aligned with clients' market views and portfolio goals by providing idea generation, pricing, and education in a collaborative, consultative manner.
• Work with top global investment banks to negotiate, price, and execute structured investments.
• Manage deal flow, review terms, and maintain strong issuer relationships.
• Support trading and execution in the secondary market, helping clients with liquidity and trade recommendations.
• Gain exposure to sophisticated hedging and monetization strategies such as Collars and Variable Prepaid Forwards.
• Represent the Structured Investments Desk in branch visits and presentations by educating FAs and clients on structured product mechanics, current trade ideas, and macroeconomic considerations.
• Work with operations, compliance, legal, and infrastructure teams to reconcile trades, update deal records, and resolve ad hoc requests.
• Maintain transaction records and contribute to product marketing materials.
• Abide by all the policies and procedures of Stifel and be fully aware of and in compliance with all FINRA, TRACE, SEC, and state and federal laws as they relate to the securities industry and products.

 



What You'll Bring

Education & Experience

• Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience Required: 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably within wealth management, capital markets, or structured products.



Licenses & Credentials

• Minimum Required: Series 7 and 63, or ability to obtain within six months of hire.



Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Bloomberg.
• Preferred familiarity with trading platforms such as MarketAxess, TradeWeb, BondDesk.
