  • 10+ previous outside or inside sales experience and additional 5+ years of management experience (more than 30 employees) in construction/rental equipment industry is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of construction equipment fleet
  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written) to enable clear and concise communication with customers and co-workers
  • Must be able to communicate in English; ability to speak another language is a plus
  • Stellar industry best customer service skills and standards
  • Strong computer and typing skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills to shift priorities as needed
  • Regular, timely and dependable attendance
  • Grasp, apply and train on new information quickly
  • Must be detail orientated
  • Maintain a professional personal appearance
  • Valid driver's license, possess and maintain a good driving record
  • Must be capable of 60% travel between branches in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and leadership meetings. 
Responsibilities

This position oversees multiple branches in a Metropolitan area and will need to:

  • Review daily, weekly and monthly reports to monitor branches' performance and take corrective action with any deficiencies which includes developing action plans
  • Monitor fleet performance and prepare equipment requisitions for additional equipment which includes purchasing small equipment consumable items as needed
  • Prepare yearly business plan with the Regional Management team forecasting revenues, expenses, fleet ROI and utilization and overall branch growth
  • Monitor purchase orders for parts and supplies to avoid unnecessary costs and maximizing profitability
  • Actively manage and monitor employee overtime to determine when it is appropriate to add additional employees
  • Interview and hire employees
  • Train and develop a dedicated work force while seeking to provide opportunities for career growth for each individual. Provide immediate coaching and guidance as it relates to their performance
  • Conduct employee job performance reviews and develop action plans for their continual training and development
  • Promote a teamwork oriented environment to provide exceptional customer service
  • Develop and empower all employees to make sound business decisions
  • Closely work with Sales Manager to develop sales strategies
  • Communicate with sales on leads and customer feedback to ensure that exceptional customer service is delivered.
  • Monitor and use training assessment tools to ensure exceptional customer service skills of inside sales people
  • Ensure that proper communication takes place between the counter, dispatch, shop, yard and sales through appropriate means. I.e. two-way radios and telephone
  • Maintain company standards with the facility, equipment and delivery fleet. This includes cleanliness, organization and appearance of personal workspaces
  • Monitor and ensure safety and environmental compliance. This includes maintaining all records and documentation
  • Ensure employees work in a safe manner
  • Adhere to and assure all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form
  • Conduct monthly branch and safety meetings.
  • Participate in weekly sales meeting
  • Prioritize changing focuses as needed in alignment with business objectives
