District Sales Manager - Trench

Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday (55-60 Hrs./Wk.)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all activities of the Territory Managers
  • Oversees all hiring, training and termination of sales personnel within the District.
  • Establishes performance goals and development plans for all Territory Managers with assigned geographic are
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and results of all pricing strategies within the District.
  • Oversees the development and execution of all strategic sales plans within the District and ensures alignment with the strategic initiatives of the company.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of district-wide revenue plans and results.
  • Coordinates sales activities/organization with all other departments/divisions of the company (Operations, IT, Call Center, Credit, Training, National Accounts, Marketing, Fleet).
  • Oversees the District's compensation structure and all performance based pay.
  • Identifies opportunities for growth in both markets and verticals in coordination with company initiatives.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of all sales related communication in conjunction with company-wide initiatives.
  • Oversees the evaluation, development and implementation of sales territories, quotas and alignment of sales and sales management personnel within the District.
  • Oversees the development and/or maintenance of all customers within the District.
  • Promotes maximum efficiencies within the District through on going evaluation, development and implementation of effective reporting tools, streamlined processes and decision making in conjunction with company-wide tools and processes.
  • Works closely with Branch Managers and Operations team to ensure connectivity to all District wide sales strategies & initiatives.
  • Works closely with Branch Managers and Operations team to ensure quality control and maximum deliverable.
  • Works closely with Branch Managers to ensure proper Fleet mix and proactive Fleet Management.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written).
  • 5 years' experience Trench Safety Equipment Product and Application.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Top planning skills and the ability to translate plans into actions.
  • Excellent business acumen.
  • Previous sales and sales management experience with large accounts.
  • Must be able to meet performance, productivity and efficiency standards.
  • Previous sales management experience.
  • Ability to read construction plans preferred
  • Ability to teach CPT and CSE classes or obtain necessary training to perform class
  • Ability to utilize Dodge Pipeline or similar lead generation tool
