The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Senior Vice President with the execution of key strategic and operational initiatives across multiple departments. This position is responsible for managing cross-functional projects, conducting in-depth business analyses, and translating data-driven insights into actionable strategies that enhance organizational performance. Operating as a strategic partner to senior leadership, the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst helps design and implement process improvements, monitor performance metrics, and identify opportunities for greater efficiency and alignment across Sunstate's Operations. The role provides broad visibility and influence, contributing directly to the achievement of company objectives and continuous improvement efforts.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic Execution
- Partners closely with the Senior Vice President to plan, coordinate, and execute strategic and operational initiatives across multiple departments.
- Translates organizational priorities into actionable project plans with clear milestones, success measures, and accountability.
- Monitors progress and identify opportunities to realign efforts for maximum impact on business goals.
Performance Analysis & Business Intelligence Collaboration
- Partners with the Business Intelligence (BI) teams to interpret analytical findings, communicate insights, and coordinate follow-up actions across teams.
- Supports pricing strategy initiatives by analyzing market trends, competitive data, and internal performance metrics to inform decisions and optimize profitability.
- Consolidates and interprets data across functions such as Operations, Fleet, Service, Safety, and Pricing to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Supports the rollout of new reports, dashboards, and pricing adjustments by aligning stakeholders, documenting feedback, and ensuring consistent adoption of process changes.
Process & Operational Improvement
- Assesses current workflows and identifies inefficiencies or bottlenecks across key operational processes.
- Recommends and implements scalable solutions that improve consistency, efficiency, and performance across regions and departments.
- Facilitates collaboration between teams to ensure new processes and tools are successfully adopted and sustained.
Project Management
- Leads or coordinates complex cross-functional projects from initiation through completion, ensuring deliverables are on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
- Develops project charters, timelines, communication plans, and post-implementation reviews to drive accountability and continuous learning.
AI, Data, and Digital Transformation
- Leverages AI, automation, and analytics tools to enhance data accuracy, accelerate reporting, and improve decision-making capabilities.
- Identifies emerging technologies that can support Sunstate's growth, operational excellence, and digital evolution.
- Partners with IT, BI, and business stakeholders to pilot and scale innovative solutions that modernize the way work gets done.
Leadership & Executive Support
- Prepares executive-level presentations, briefings, and data-driven recommendations for the Senior Vice President and other members of the senior leadership team.
- Translates complex analyses into clear narratives that drive informed decision-making.
- Supports annual and quarterly planning, strategy reviews, and leadership meetings with actionable insights and well-structured documentation.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 4–7 years of progressive experience in business analysis, operations, or management consulting, ideally within a multi-site, service, or industrial organization.
- Analytical & Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data interpretation, modeling, and tracking business performance.
- Working knowledge of Power BI or Tableau for reviewing and communicating insights developed by data teams.
- Strong ability to interpret and synthesize financial, operational, and customer data to guide business decisions.
- Business Intelligence & Pricing Collaboration: Experience working closely with Business Intelligence or Pricing Analytics teams to understand findings, communicate implications to field and operations leaders, and coordinate the rollout of process or pricing adjustments. Proven ability to serve as a liaison by ensuring clear communication, follow-through, and accountability between analytics and operational teams.
- Technology & AI: Familiarity with AI-driven tools, automation platforms, and process optimization technologies; ability to integrate these tools into workflows to improve visibility and efficiency.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives—coordinating timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder updates to ensure alignment and execution across multiple teams.
- Communication & Influence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analytical outputs into actionable insights and drive alignment among diverse stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Leadership Presence: Skilled in building trusted partnerships across departments (Operations, Fleet, Safety, Service, Sales, Finance, IT, and BI) and facilitating productive discussions that bridge data and business action.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Self-starter with a strong bias toward learning, follow-through, and continuous improvement and who is comfortable appropriately challenging the status quo to enhance processes and outcomes.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Majority of work is performed indoors
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires presence at assigned workstation, extended periods of standing and sitting. May require some travel (training purposes, coverage at other branches, etc.)
