POSITION PURPOSE
The Regional Investigation Manager (“Manager”) reports directly to the Director of Security and Loss Prevention. Primarily responsible as the subject matter expert to identify fraud trends, provide safety and security leadership and training, and manage inventory control losses. Will assess store operational compliance to ensure the protection of company assets. Responsible for covering a specified region of the country and supporting more than 250 wireless retail locations. Must be willing to assist outside of the assigned area. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of fostering partnerships with Field Management (i.e., Regional Directors, District Managers, Vice Presidents, Store Support, etc.) as well as local and state law enforcement and other third-party partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Conduct internal and external investigations and interviews to identify issues regarding integrity and loss (i.e., shrinkage, theft, burglary, robbery, and fraud) as defined by company policy. Provide recommendations for resolution and process/policy improvement.
- Identify instances of loss related to Organized Retail Crime (“ORC”) groups and engage with local, state, and federal agencies and partners as necessary.
- Monitor video surveillance in retail locations to identify potential team member integrity issues, safety risks, and guest service opportunities that may negatively impact on store performance.
- 24 hour on call representation for TCC locations requiring emergency response guidance and assistance during and beyond hours of operations.
- Develop action plans for preventative measures based on incident activity and trends.
- Complete and maintain Loss Prevention case reports with company-provided systems.
- Partner with external vendors to ensure accurate placement and operations of security equipment.
- Provide support to all Store Support Departments and assist with investigations as requested.
- Train and educate employees on Loss Prevention & Security Compliance to better help protect company assets.
- Perform all other job duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education, Experience, and Winning Attributes.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred. Current certification in Loss Prevention and/or Fraud Investigation (or the ability to gain certification within a determined timeframe) is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail investigations, audit, or operations is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to accurately recap investigative incidents.
- Must possess a high level of integrity and work ethic, individual initiative, dependability and flexibility in his/her schedule.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and to multi-task under tight deadlines.

- Proficient in MS Office, with heightened MS Excel skills.
- Must have a strong knowledge of CCTV systems.
- Must possess excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate sound decision making and judgment and be able to remain calm in stressful or critical situations.
- Must have understanding of exception-based reporting (XBR).

Physical Demands.
- Able to stand, walk, and bend up to 70% of the time.
- Able to sit over 30% of the time.
Travel requirements.

- Available to travel (domestic) up to 25% of the time.
Work Environment.
- Must reside within the assigned region of coverage.
- Typically, offices at home and visits the retail store environment, as necessary.
- Must be able and available to work nights and weekends as required.
