TerraBella Senior Living is looking for a Division Director of Resident Engagement to join our company.
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the strategy, innovation, oversight, and monitoring of all resident engagement programs at Integral Senior Living in partnership with the resident engagement teams at Discovery Senior Living.
This position ensures that the communities are compliant with State and Federal Regulations in all aspects of resident programming in Assisted Living, Memory Care and care of the resident with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. Also provides guidance on education and training programs for programs to ensure high quality care and services for aging adults.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews and develops standards of practice in all Resident Programs.
- Supports the implementation of all branded memory care programs in selected communities.
- Supports development and provides education, ongoing training, and orientation to community team members regarding all resident engagement programs.
- Provides oversight and assistance for the survey process related to performance improvement, and regulatory compliance.
- Works with each community to monitor and develop Quality Assurance and safety indicators for resident programming.
- Implements policies and procedures resident programming. Monitors achievement of goals and objectives for the communities consistent with philosophy and standards of practice.
- Reviews new regulatory directives, supports development and implements changes as needed based on State Regulations.
- Assists to develop and monitor Quality Improvement Process, Standards of Care, related to programming standards, regulations, in collaboration with the Resident Care team.
- At the direction of and in collaboration with the VP of Resident Care and TerraBella Division VP of Resident Care conducts compliance surveys at communities. Assists in coordinating actions plans to minimize liability and risks as a result of compliance surveys. Reports identified issues and plans for resolution to the TerraBella Division VP of Resident Care.
- Participate in State and Federal surveys and compliance investigations at the direction of the TerraBella Division VP of Resident Care.
- Gathers performance improvements indicators and survey data to identify trends. Supports development of Plans of Corrective Actions with the home office, field, and community leaders.
- Schedules periodic site visits to provide supervision, programming expertise, ensure communication, and to monitor the overall safety and operation of our resident engagement programs. Conducts community reviews based on operational needs, changes in management and commitment to regulatory compliance.
- Participates in the review and analysis of critical incidents, accidents, and elopements that occur in our memory care programs.
- Works with community and regional/corporate management team to grow census.
- Collaborates with marketing on programming collaterals, articles, and media materials.
- Assists with brand development and program standards.
- Responsible for timely information reporting.
- Must stay in compliance with all state, federal, and government agencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides expertise and guidance to regional support, community executive directors, and programming directors.
- Assists with the selection, training, and education of community-based resident engagement directors.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements and Experience:
- Maintain current certifications as required.
- Three (3) years' experience as a Memory Care Practitioner.
- Three (3) years management experience in Senior Living or related field. Multi-facility, multi-state experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree required in social services, psychology, sociology, or a related field.
