Overview

Bluewater Federal is looking for a Windows Engineer to support the Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command, The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD).


Responsibilities

  • Engineer Windows‑based enterprise solutions and domain architectures; lead modernization, migration, hybrid cloud integrations, automation/orchestration, and security hardening to meet mission, performance, and compliance objectives.
  • Research and make architecture recommendations for Windows‑based systems and domains; produce designs, implementation plans, and change artifacts (CAB/CCB)
  • Design/integrate directory services and identity (AD/Azure AD), patch management, software distribution, VDI, and PKI/Enterprise CA services with defense‑in‑depth controls and cloud connectivity.
  • Develop automation/orchestration for provisioning and configuration; maintain as‑built architecture and data‑flow diagrams and RMF documentation.
  • Ensure STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, and alignment to DoD/DoN policy (e.g., DoDI 8500.01, 8510.01, NIST SP 800‑53).

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in relation to operating systems design and implementation for DoD programs with networked corporate environments using Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, storage systems (e.g. NetApp, EMC), and TCP/IP.
  • Must have a Security+ certification
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance
  • Broad Windows engineering background across hybrid enterprise/cloud (AWS GovCloud/Azure), with strong identity, PKI, and endpoint management expertise
  • Familiarity with network dependencies (DNS/DHCP, VPNs, NAC, Zero Trust enablers) and service availability/capacity planning.
  • Ability to present designs in reviews (SDR/CDR/IPR) and support service validation/testing.
