Your Role:
- Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to set up, prepare and manage construction drawings
- Prepare dimensional drawings, create, and modify base drawings
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes
- Create and manage electronic document file structure, naming conventions in accordance with company/client standards
- Prepare project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output
- Work on multiple projects at the same time to successful completion
- Follow CAD standards, whether the customer's or Tetra Tech's
- Work with project teams on drawings that meet and exceed the customer's requirements (bid and submittal phase).
Qualifications:
- Associate degree of completion in CAD drafting, related field from a technical trade school or applicable training; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Experience using CAD platforms for civil drawing and following client standards. Experience working with feature lines, grading objects, survey points, profiles, surfaces, and pipe networks.
Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:
- Experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer preferred
- Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, listening, oral, and written abilities
- Proficient in PC usage and associated software, including Microsoft Office and Bluebeam (or similar PDF tools)
- Ability to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications
- Knowledge of standard drafting practices and procedures
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment
- Strong time management and scheduling abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Demonstrated success in meeting objectives and project requirements
