Your Role: 

As a CAD/LIDAR Technician, you will be responsible for creating and modifying detailed drawings and plans using 3D visualization software. You will work closely with our survey staff and engineers to ensure that drawings meet specifications and are completed on time. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work remote and in an office setting.

  • Use CAD software to import surveyed field data and produce finalized terrain models, right-of-way drawings, and other drawing deliverables.
  • Keep current on CAD workspaces, client specifications, and software updates
  • Assistance in preparation of survey deliverables.
  • Thorough documentation and organizational skills.
  • Effective and consistent communication with team members.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet changing conditions & priorities.
  • Ability to focus at the computer for longer periods of time
  • Willingness to learn new software platforms

Qualifications: 

  • Associates degree in CAD technology, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Basic knowledge of common file types: csv, txt, xml, dxf, pdf, dgn, dwg.
  • Data entry into Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Pro
