Position Summary:
The Land Development/Site Design Project Manager will lead and support civil engineering design and project management activities for a variety of municipal, commercial, and private development projects. The position will focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet client needs and align with Tetra Tech's standards for safety, quality, and sustainability.

Essential Job Functions:
The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Lead civil engineering analysis, design, and management of land development and site design projects.
  • Perform grading, hydraulic design, storm drainage, water and sewer system design, and erosion control analyses.
  • Collaborate directly with clients, project design teams, and technical staff to deliver innovative and compliant solutions.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to engineering standards and documentation requirements.
  • Support construction activities including submittal and RFI review, and field coordination.
  • Participate in proposal preparation, cost estimation, and project financial monitoring.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Knowledge of AASHTO Greenbook, CDOT, and local municipal standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with grading, drainage, hydrology/hydraulics, and street design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing municipal, commercial, or residential infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with permitting and regulatory processes.
  • Experience designing roadways, bikeways, erosion control, water quality, and sewer systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform fieldwork in varying conditions and on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and perform light to moderate physical activity, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent use of engineering and field equipment.

Work Environment / Environmental Factors:

  • Combination of office and outdoor field settings with exposure to variable weather conditions.
  • Moderate noise levels and occasional work on uneven terrain.
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Additional Information:

Employment Type: Full-time, Hybrid (Frisco, CO)

Work Schedule: Standard business hours, with occasional field visits or travel as required.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel for project or client meetings.

Compensation Range: $130,000 – $165,000, depending on experience.
