Tetra Tech is seeking short-term technical specialists to support potential work with international development clients through existing and future framework agreements in Africa and Asia on climate risk and energy infrastructure resilience.
The Specialists will:
- Conduct climate risk assessments through the collection, analysis, and modeling of high-resolution data on climate hazards.
- Appraise adaptation and resilience investment options, quantify costs of climate-related damages to infrastructure assets and service disruptions, and analyze financial and operation performance of assets under various climate hazard scenarios.
- Develop technical guidelines for climate-resilient infrastructure, including asset design standards, operational parameters, and project-level adaptation strategies.
- Conduct climate risk capacity-building activities such as workshops and dialogue events.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Master's Degree or PhD in engineering, finance, climate change, international development, or other relevant fields
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in energy infrastructure projects for public and private stakeholders
- At least 5 years' experience in climate risk assessment for infrastructure
- At least 5 years' experience in integrating adaptation and resilience measures, including engineering and natural solutions, into infrastructure projects
- Experience with financial modelling of the costs and benefits of adaptation and resilience measures for infrastructure
