Your Role

The Database Analyst role involves extracting data from Oracle, producing reports and analyses for financial and operations management, and analyzing data with an understanding of the business and financial implications.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Generating and distributing scheduled and ad hoc reports from Oracle.
  •  Modifying or creating new user interfaces and reports in MS Access to support billing and reporting.
  • Loading transactional data into Oracle using More4Apps.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes, troubleshooting out of balances in Project Account for month/year end, and calculating indirect rates monthly.
  • Preparing and submitting Incurred Cost Submission for federal government contracts.
  • Extracting data from vendors and manipulating to load into Oracle.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience working with MS Access query, Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, report and forms development. You will also have / be:

  • Strong knowledge of MS Access, Excel, Oracle and the SQL query language.
  • Strong knowledge in query writing, stored procedures, and database table/schema design.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including advanced skills in Excel, is essential.
  • Experience with Oracle Projects, Financials and Accounts Payable is a plus.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as arithmetic calculations and fundamentals of algebra, as necessary.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to continuously improving processes and systems to efficiently accomplish tasks and goals.

Degree / Certifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or closely related field is required.

The primary work environment is an office setting, with remote hybrid work flexibility.

The Salary Range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
