DCMP Development Officer – GEMA – Job Description

Tetra Tech Disaster Recovery Team is currently hiring Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP) Development Officer to assist with relief efforts following Hurricane Helene in the state of Georgia.  

The DCMP Development Officer is responsible for outreach to prospective community donors of funding, goods, and services to directly meet the needs of survivors impacted by Hurricane Helene.  This role requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.  

Key Responsibilities: 

·         Design and implement effective fundraising strategies to secure support from individuals, businesses, and other stakeholders 

·         Foster relationships with prospective donors to secure donations of funds, goods, and services to go directly to survivors and close the gap of hurricane-related unmet needs. 

·         Develop and implement strategy to ensure equitable distribution of goods and services to survivor households. 

·         Develop and maintain a directory of available donated funds, goods, and services to be used to meet survivor needs. 

·         Attend community meetings both in person and virtually. 

·         Produce weekly reports for leadership team.  

·         Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge of disaster response and recovery strategies.  

Qualifications: 

·         Minimum of bachelor's degree in related field and 5+ years of related work experience.  A combination of industry experience and degree may be substituted.   

·         Must have reliable transportation (must use your own vehicle).    

·         Have a valid driver's license.  

·         Must be able to work on site in Georgia and drive during operating hours to work in DCM offices, visit shelters, community events, conduct home visits, and other in-person assignments.   

·         Strong organizational and communication skills. 

·         Ability to maintain professional demeanor during incidents.   

·         Knowledge of social services resources and support systems.   

·         Proficient in MS Office.  

Standard Schedule: 

  • This is a part-time temporary assignment expected to last up to 24 months. 
  • Work on the weekend may be occasionally required. 

In order to be considered for this position:  

you must submit and pass a background check; AND

your driving record must not indicate any of the following during the past 3 years:

Punitive suspension, denial, or revocation of driver's license.

Conviction for impaired or intoxicated driving (DWAI, DUI, DWI).

Conviction of: reckless driving, driving with a suspended/denied/revoked license, hit and run or leaving the scene.

Conviction of 3 or more moving violations, at fault accidents or a combination.

This position with Tetra Tech is temporary and on an "as needed" basis and will end. It is understood that your employment is to be on an "at will" basis. Job Types: Full-time, Temporary 

Salary: $45-50 per hour  (68 hours per month; average 17 hrs a week)

Schedule: 

  • Day shift 
  • Monday to Friday  (part-time)
  • Weekends as needed
