Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Highways / Civil Engineer Director to grow our team in the south-west of England. We undertake a wide variety of major and challenging infrastructure projects in the private and public sectors, across a range of development sectors and we seek to provide integrated solutions incorporating state of the art designs.
Responsibilities:
We require an experienced individual of high calibre to grow a team in the south-west of England through existing client contacts and business development. Securing work for Tetra Tech will come in the form of highways, infrastructure, and drainage-related projects in both the private and public sector. You should have the appropriate industry knowledge and experience that brings a range of new opportunities for Tetra Tech as well as having the ability to grow a team of skilled engineers to support the delivery of this work.
You will support the Highways leadership team and be responsible for project financial performance, team utilisation and have overall accountability for the technical quality of the services being delivered within your team.
You should also have experience of leading and managing the delivery of development related highways and drainage schemes (S278/S38/S104/S185), for private developers as well as infrastructure schemes for local/central government.
About You:
· You are an enthusiastic engineer who likes a challenge and has aspirations to further their career.
· You are educated to degree level or equivalent in the field of Civil Engineering and eligible for CEng CIHT/MICE.
· You have good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently, a collaborative approach and a proven ability to deliver work on time.
· You have experience and bring a detailed understanding of infrastructure engineering projects specifically including drainage and general building drainage works through your proven experience. Knowledge of current and emerging technology and legislations is also required.
· You have experience in growing a team through work-winning.
· You have experience of working with Statutory Authorities and procedures.
· You have experience of commercial management of projects and change control.
· You are committed to encouraging good health and safety practices within the workplace and within design.
· You are a team player displaying enthusiasm, flexibility, and versatility.
· You have the ability to mentor, encourage and support team members.
· You have a desire to build upon your existing experience, continuing your professional development.
· You hold a full UK Driving License.
Due to the nature of the role you must be able to obtain security clearance
