LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Intermediate Level Electronic Technician to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with installing, maintaining, and integrating systems within the National Airspace System (NAS). The Electrotonic Technician will support the FAA by performing installation, operation, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modification of electrical systems and equipment. The technician will develop a working understanding of how system performance impacts both NAS and non-NAS services, using technical manuals, directives, and manufacturer's instructions to complete complex tasks. They will apply practical judgment to select efficient methods for completing work, using electronic test equipment for maintenance and repairs, and adhering to safety protocols with proper PPE. This role supports the Federal Aviation Administration, which is responsible for ensuring the safety of 45,000 flights and 3 million passengers traversing over 28 million miles of U.S. controlled airspace every day. In addition to providing air traffic control and safety oversight for civilian aviation, the FAA also works in lockstep with the Department of Defense and other government agencies to ensure the security of our nation. A key component of that coordination involves the collaborative use of aviation tools and data.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform coordination, operation, repair, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, modification, and documentation activities.
• Develop and execute working knowledge and understanding of the impact of specific system performance in provided NAS and non-NAS wide services
• Utilize and interpret orders and directives, technical manuals, manufacturer's instructions, procedures, and other publications as required to complete multiple and complex work assignments
• Apply practical judgment and discretion to select the most appropriate method to complete the work assignment
• Use electronic test equipment required for maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of assigned equipment/systems as well as use proper personal protective equipment and safety procedures while accomplishing work assignments.
• Perform the essential functions of the position without hazard to themselves or others. Due to the nature of the job, usable vision (including color vision and near vision), hearing, and speech may be required.
• Fulfill training requirements for duties assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree +8 years of relevant experience
o Five (5) years of relevant experience over and above the minimum experience requirements for the position will be considered equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
• Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds; climb stairs/ladders and towers
• Ability to bend or stoop for extended periods
• Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions (outside/extreme weather)
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends and/or holidays
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Ability to travel extensively for extended periods.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of FAA operations and sustainment of DHS' Maritime Approaches Surveillance Towers (MAST).
• Experience drafting technical drawings for changes made to operational infrastructure environments.
Additional Information:
• Must be eligible to obtain necessary clearances to work, including FAA suitability and U.S. Government public trust clearance.
• Clean driving record required and willingness to provide a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) upon request
• Significant travel required within Puerto Rico and Caribbean.
• Must be able to lift 75+ lbs, climb work ladders, use portable power tools, and work in varied weather and terrain conditions.

Compensation (Pay Bands)
Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of LSTs total compensation package for employees. ** In compliance with local laws, LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington D.C."
