Your Role:

We are seeking an Environmental Permitting Lead for immediate employment located in the Atlanta, GA area and reporting to the Houston, Texas office. A proven track record and considerable experience in the oil and gas industry is required, particularly in the upstream and midstream markets. Desired applicant will have considerable experience with all aspects of environmental permitting, including CWA Section 404, Section 408, ESA, Section 106, NEPA, etc. for both interstate and intrastate linear transportation projects. Candidate must be highly motivated, client-focused, and work well in a professional and team-oriented environment. Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload and travel as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication, client interaction and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with MS Office applications required.

  • Manage, support and/or lead program and project teams in the pursuit and development of client accounts.
  • Regularly meet with client staff from multiple levels of the client's organization to obtain feedback on Tetra Tech's performance and identify opportunities.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and address performance issues.
  • Participate in the Go-No-Go decision making process in working with regional and national market sector leaders.
  • Develop strategic, marketing and client capture strategies.
  • Establish relationships both internally, as well as externally with various levels of our client's organizations.
  • Identify upcoming pursuits that are consistent with Tetra Tech's growth strategy.
  • Lead the proposal development process including Statement of Qualifications, Technical Proposals and Presentations.
  • Serve in a Unit wide role to increase the product offered to our Clients.
  • Oversee and Grow our Permitting practice across the Southeastern States.
  • Mentor Junior staff on technical issues and help them grow through the organization.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with proven environmental permitting experience; graduate degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience with at least 5 years of client account management experience.
  • Proven track record with client account management, relationship development, brand elevation, project pursuit execution, and multiple discipline sales.
  • Experience in the full spectrum of client service, starting with positioning activities, proposal development, and delivery of project designs.
  • Must have considerable knowledge and/or experience in environmental permitting, including FERC 7(c) applications, CWA Section 404, Section 408, ESA, NEPA, Section 106, etc.
  • Extensive Gulf Coast experience preferred.
  • Offshore oil and gas experience with FERC 3(a) and USCG/MARAD DWPA projects a plus.
  • Exceptional technical skills and experience managing environmental permitting projects in midstream and downstream markets.
  • Desire to serve and lead in a deliberate and focused, yet fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent relationships and proven work experience with the Appropriate Government Agencies.
  • Familiarity and experience in Project Management and Contract Administration.
