We are currently seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist (Mid-level) to assist with a variety of projects including Site Investigation Services, Renewable Energy projects and field related support roles. The successful candidate will have the aptitude to succeed in supporting a diverse range of small and large projects both locally and with projects requiring travel.

Your Role:

·         Conducting field work for diverse projects, including sampling of soils, sediments, surface water, groundwater, and biota.

·         Collecting field data using iPad and Arrow units or Trimble systems.

·         Assisting or leading environmental studies supporting wetland delineations and biological surveys.

·         Supporting environmental due diligence projects for Phase I and II Site Investigations.

·         Traveling and conducting fieldwork in a range of environments, from busy urban areas to remote locations.

·         Utilizing Windows-based software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and GPS/GIS field data-collection software.

·         Assisting with data organization and preparing tables and data analyses under the direction of senior staff.

·         Assisting in preparing project deliverables for submittal to clients.

 

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Science, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.

·         3 to 5 years of experience in environmental science or a related field.

·         Current OHSA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification (40 CFR 1910.120) and/or CPR and first aid training, or willingness to obtain these certifications in a timely manner.

·         Experience with field surveys supporting various projects, including Phase I and II site investigations and site remediation investigations.

·         Experience in report writing, data analysis, evaluation, and data tabulation for deliverable preparation.

·         Strong written and oral communication skills.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project) and other relevant software tools.

·         Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

·         A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.

·         Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
