Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking field personnel with a strong mechanical background to perform mechanical fueling system maintenance and repair related to the sustainment, restoration and modernization of petroleum handling systems. Previous Military experience performing maintenance and repairs on permanently installed aviation fueling systems is desirable. Candidates will be considered to support primarily field activities serving our commercial and federal sector clients throughout Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Responsibilities: The selected candidate will serve as Tetra Tech's agent for all recurring maintenance and repair actions to include monitoring of Health and Safety requirements, controls, processes and protocols related to the on-site management of repair activities. Candidate will support operations including work planning, scheduling, and coordination with on- and off-site clients to facilitate the safe and timely execution of inspection, maintenance repair of petroleum handling systems. Typical activities will include:
• Maintains effective communications with client, subcontractors and Tetra Tech's Project Manager.
• Implements plans, execute and monitor work activities to ensure project execution supports Compliance with internal and external timelines and objectives.
• Schedule and conducts on-site meetings with the client and subcontractors as required; Liaises with client and prevailing government agency representatives as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret scopes of work, project drawings and specifications.
• Basic skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of UFGS, UFC, ASME codes, API, North American and / or international standards and principles related to the design, construction, inspection and repair processes associated with petroleum and oil storage and distribution systems preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA Construction Safety certifications and/or relevant industry certifications from API, STI or NACE is desirable.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be 21 years or older and be able to obtain a commercial DOT driver's license.
• Must be able to obtain a DOD Common Access Card (CAC) within first 6 months of employment and/or pass a favorable Background Investigation (FBI).
• Must be able to pass a DOT post-employment physical.
Education & Experience:
• Requires a High School Diploma.
• Experience executing on-site fuel system repair activities, construction safety, systems maintenance and inspection activities affiliated with U.S. military fueling systems is highly desirable.

• Frequently works in Noisy environments.
• Is also required to do heavy work that includes moving objects of 70 lbs. or more.

The performance of assigned duties may take place in wet and/or humid conditions, in the presence of fumes, particles, or environments where petroleum and toxic chemicals may be present. The noise level in the work atmosphere is usually low to moderate but on occasion higher due to work activities near airfields and operating equipment.
Language & Communication Skills: Candidate must be fluent in the English language, speaking, writing, reading. In addition, successful candidate must be able to prepare written technical documents.
Mathematical Skills: Basic Math Skills are Required.
