Project Overview 
Tetra Tech is providing energy expertise and related technical and material assistance to the Government, International Financial Institutions and private sector clients in Ukraine focusing on enhancing the resilience, reliability, affordability, and security of the electricity, natural gas, and district heating sectors. Our activities include various tasks addressing immediate challenges and physical damage to energy infrastructure, as well as preparing for Ukraine's postwar reconstruction and long-term energy security.

 

Tetra Tech is seeking short-term technical Power Generation Sector Experts for anticipated activities supporting the reconstruction of energy infrastructure in Ukraine.


The Specialists will:

  • Support technical teams on the design and drafting of technical specifications for gas engine power generation and small-scale cogeneration projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of tendering documents and provide support on technical matters during procurement phase for projects of the above type.
  • Provide support during supervision of work including start-up, checking and approval of designs, monitoring progress and quality control.
  • Support assignments on technical due diligence of gas engine power generation and cogeneration projects.

 

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar field
  • Minimum of 5- 7 years of work experience in power generation infrastructure
  • Experience in the design, engineering and/or procurement of gas engine power generation and/or cogeneration plants
  • Experience in gas engines and/or cogeneration projects supervision and quality assurance will be an advantage
  • Experience in power generation projects implemented in Ukraine
  • Knowledge of relevant Ukrainian and EU standards is required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and English (reading, writing, and presentation skills)
